Africa Shapers Initiative (ASI), a leading development organization on the continent, made the announcement recently. Adégbìtẹ́ made the list for his entrepreneurial exploits.

According to the ASI, “The Continent Influencers Honours programme” was set up to acknowledge people from different walks of life who are using their influence in various sectors to positively impact humanity.

The 2016 honorees, drawn from diverse areas of human endeavours which include peace advocacy, community development, entrepreneurship and media amongst others, will be hosted at an event billed to hold in the nearest future.

Solomon Adetokunbo

Speaking on the programme and the 2016 result, the project manager of ASI, Mr. kingsley Amure said the ASI list of influencers has been one of the significant means of achieving a part of the organizational aims of deepening the process of leadership mentoring and recruitment in Africa.

“The 2016 honourees are particularly unique because of the balance we are able to create in terms of the different sectors that were enlisted and appreciation of those who have truly distinguished themselves in those areas, ” he said.

“Moving forward, we will be working with different stakeholders in the society towards building virile public institutions just as we are helping to inspire a generation of responsible leaders on the continent through projects like this and several others from ASI,” he added.
