Newly Appointed OVH Energy CEO, Huub Stokman Hosts Akinlaja, NARTO Stakeholders in Lagos

Mr. Huub Stokman the CEO of leading downstream company in Nigeria, OVH Energy on Thursday (March 8, 2018) hosted Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, Hon Joseph Akinlaja and other key stakeholders of the National Road Transport Owners (NARTO).

This is the first time Mr Stokman would be holding such high profile meeting with stakeholders in the downstream sector one month after his appointment, with the aim of increasing productivity, efficiency and ultimately building stronger synergy in the value chain.

Hon Joseph Akinlaja on his part assured that the Nigerian parliament would work out plans to strengthen the downstream sector in the interest of all.

His words, “I assure you that as a parliament, particularly Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, we would do our best I’m crafting the right legislative initiatives that will deliver more reliable and profit-driven Nigeria oil and gas sector for the Nigerian economy and it’s teaming investors” he said

Also in attendance was the National Chairman of Petroleum Tanker Drivers, (PTD) branch of NUPENG, Mr. Salimon Oladiti.

Prior to his appointment, Huub Stokman was the Head of Puma Energy International in Angola, responsible for the overall business, which included managing retail forecourt, terminal/logistics operations, as well as B2B business for fuels, lubricants, aviation fuels and bitumen.

Before joining Puma, he spent over 20 years at BP during which he was responsible for Sales and Marketing as well as major projects across 15 European countries.

Huub Stokman has, over the years and in various capacities, proven to be an accomplished executive leader in a number of international downstream businesses, with a history of successfully enhancing bottom-line performance.
