Aaree (Chief) Mrs. Adenike Lawal will on 4th of May, 2018 be installed as Iyalode of Owu Kingdom by His Royal Highness, Oba Olusanya Adegboyega Dosumu Olowu of Owuland.
The high profile ceremony will take place at the palace of Olowu in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Iyalode is a prestigious and reputable chieftancy title commonly bestowed on women in Yorubaland. Traditionally, the Iyalode signifies the “queens of ladies” and is given to the most prominent and distinguished lady in or from the town, just like many other notable chieftancy titles given by the Oba.
Aare Adenike Lawal is a mother in the sense of a nurturer of many in diverse ways: in mosque, she leads many groups as laeder, or as matron, in business she is an inspiring entrepreneur in many successful businesses and serves as a model for many.
