A former Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Young Arebamen, was on Friday at his residence in Ujabhole community, Esan Central local government area of Edo State.
Residents of the community trooped out to witness ex- police commissioner’s funeral activities
Arebamen, who served as Lagos police commissioner between 2002 and 2004, died on March 14.
He was buried after a funeral mass at the St.Joseph Catholic Church in Ujabhole.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 5, Rasheed Olatunde Akintunde, led the the state Commissioner of Police, Babatunde Kokumo, and other top police officers to give Arebamen the last honour.
A 21-gun salute was fired at the residence of the deceased before he was taken inside for internment.
Akintunde described the late Arebamen as a distinct police officer.
